| 161445 | 2003-07-20 05:13:00 | I'm looking for a software package that can compare two folders and then synchronies them, and one that lets me save my settings, so next time I can just hit the SYNC button and away it goes. Anyone have any suggestions? Note: I'm after synchronization software NOT backup software, I simply want to mirror a folder at the touch of a button. Cheers Liam |

You set up schedules that can be saved and run at set times, though you can also fire up a schedule and do it on demand. To do it on demand takes one click (once a schedule has been set up), in the sense that there is a shortcut control panel in your system tray - right click on it and select Copy source to destination, and away it goes. I understand you can use SmartSync, which is a lite version, but only to sync between remote connections. You need SmartSync Pro to do what you want (I think!), but you can check this out at: http://www.smsync.com/ John |

(Especialy to thoes not so technically minded) . Cheers Liam |
