| 161826 | 2003-07-21 11:19:00 | As for the size of the buffer, does it really matter terribly much, seeing as we are now burning and reading at such high speeds anyways? 8MB might be something worth the while, but I honestly dont think its worth that much worry.. Am I wrong in thinking this? This is how I figure it: 2MB Buffer 1x read/write = 150kbps 10x read/write = 1,500kbps 52x read/write = 8,500kbps So.. a 2MB Buffer if it acts as I believe it does (Storing what it believes you're next most likely to access in Buffer) then its not too much to bother about!?! Or am I off on the totally wrong track here? |
