In the future it can check your previous entries and list suggestions as you type. Would you like to turn Auto Complete on? Please explain? Thanks Ladybug again |

| 162443 | 2003-07-23 15:52:00 | It is a feature of IE that remembers login names and passwords for various sites (Not Bank sites though). It can be a handy feature for example logging into PressF1 forums if you chose not to automatically log in then the autocomplete will put your name and password in the login box when you click in it for you. Saves you having to type it out all the times. There are good and bad things about it. I have it on but only for those sites that don't really matter, things like forums and other non critical sites. I don't recommend using it on sites like Trademe or Hotmail etc as this information might be retrieved by a hacker and you might start running auctions you know nothig about. |
