| 162042 | 2003-07-22 10:01:00 | I created a new user to my XP Pro and after logging in (to the newly created user) everything goes fine but when I tried to launch my Office 2k Prem (already installed), Windows installer tries to install Office 2k SR1 again; unfortunately, half-way through the process, the following error message appears: "Error 1706, no valid source could be found for product Microsoft Office 2000 SR1 Premium. The Windows installer cannot continue." I click OK and the installation process repeats for 3 - 4 times and Word or Excel opens. I could then use it without problem. The problem is, every time when I launch Word of Excel, the above repeats itself. I already have my Office installed and there is another user account is using it without any problem. What could be the cause? |

| 162043 | 2003-07-22 12:08:00 | Problem solved. Went to Group Policy and enabled the following settings: 1. Enable user to browse for source while elevated; and 2. Enable user to use media source while elevated Cheers |
