162337 2003-07-24 07:33:00 NO No No! Do try to keep up Godfather and JM.
I had a motorbike. End of story. No computers for us in those days.
It's an allegory. Substitute "motorbike" for "computer".

Dear oh dear I should have thought it was perfectly obvious.

And NO - my wife could not be described as sedate etc ( just in case she ever sees this thread - shudder)
Not that I'm scared mind you.

Cheers

162340 2003-07-24 09:56:00 Why dont you jsut give the computer a little bit of a rest and put your whole attention to her!?

I mean, you can work your way up to having the computer again, just give her some of your attention, thats what she wants, how about you do something romantic for her, like umm...... candle lit dinner for two!? chicks love it!!:) but you dont have to go that far, even a single red rose with a short poem in a card, dont ya think she would like that!? i mean you could even get her hooked on computers but firstly, do you want her OR your computers, thats the big choice, choose one, and then ill give ya hints on getting her back;)

162341 2003-07-24 10:09:00 Well with me *I* want both my lovely Wife AND our computer.

I have managed to keep BOTH for a few years now. :-)

My Wife plays Solitaire, Mahjong etc and I use the net a lot.
I like FlightSims as well.

No argument about which computer is "Gruntier" as we only have one and we share.

This is just *our* solution.

It works for us!!!

162342 2003-07-24 10:12:00 Remember that you need to get off your backside so as to not get the bloodclots formming, plus you don't want to be getting RSI. You can spend some time with her in those 3s micro pauses and the 10m breaks.

Also just be happy that you got one in the first place. :)

162344 2003-07-24 14:30:00 Thomas - did I miss something? Some sort of pun or palindrome perhaps?
Surely GF wasn't confusing my wife and the fact we have three children with the clearly enuciated qualities of the machine?
Or was he..........hmmmmm......

Perhaps Terry can help, as our newly discovered expert on Middle English.

Night night.

162345 2003-07-24 23:53:00 No offence to the post-er, but clearly it's about communication. Talk to your girlfriend. Don't you find it just a little bit ironic that when you have a relationship issue, you go to a computer-help forum...? That in itself tells you what your priorities are. Talk to your girlfriend, first and foremost, and see what happens... Lizard (2409)

thats a good point. I also believe that communication is one (if not the top) priority in any relationship.
