| 162368 | 2003-07-23 09:50:00 | I am bravely trying to get into the shady world of downloading music. Found a site which looks genuine ie spyware free. But it is not at all clear as to what I have to do to download the program. There apppear to be about a dozen downloads within K-Lite Codec Pack 2.04 Full - whatever that means! Help. What do I do ? What do I need and should ignore? www.k-lite.tk |

| 162369 | 2003-07-23 10:25:00 | Kazzalite is a stripped down version of KaZaa. A file sharing program from Shaman Networks. What kazaa-lite doesn't have is the spyware and advertising banners that kazaa has and it didn't come from Shaman Networks, otherwise it looks and operates exactly the same. It is quite safe to download, the best place to get it is off a PC World magazine disk. An issue came out with a whole heap of filesharing programs. K-lite (which can be installed with kazza-lite contains a whole heap of codecs for playing back various Video files.) | sinndisco (4059) | ||

| 162373 | 2003-07-24 07:39:00 | Just read a letter in PC World Feb 03 suggesting winMX so I will have a look. Thanks for the help. I will check out download.com. Picked up a PC World mag from the library this arvo for Kazza Lite but of course the CD was gone. |

I've been meaning to give that a go but have't been bothered to look for the official site ;) -- You're at the right site for downloading k-lite. As you'll see Kazaa Lite K++ 2.4.1 has been released. So you will want to download that cos its the latest. Ignore the codec pack. You would only want that if a movie or something you downloaded wasn't working. -> From the left menu, click kazaalite. You obviously want english so click on that. Next brings up a list of mirrors, click on whichever one you want, and it will start the download! |

Seemed to be about 10 choices. Sorry but I know zilch about actually using peer to peer. Winston |
