The thing I love about windows update is when you install the latest SP and then do a windows update to find that the SP now has updates for it! That and having to get 30MB of downloads to update a new install of Windows really make my job fun . Hope you've got broadband! |

| 162256 | 2003-07-23 05:48:00 | Most of the "Recommended" Updates are not needed unless your PC is experiencing that problem or you wish up update a specific feature eg Windows MovieMaker 2 Leave those and only download the service packs and critical updates. The XP Service Pack and IE6 Service Packs have been on recent computer magazine cover disk CD's so have a look through those first to save yourself the download. Do those first and then go back and just get the remaining critical updates. |
