when i boot up the computer it sometimes doesnt detect my cpu which is a AMD 2500+ and sometimes it says its a AMD 1100mhz+,but windows and stuff boot up fine though it says in system (windows) that it is a 1100mhz,so why is it doing this?bios?
btw motherboard is a soltek SL-75frn2-L,Win XP pro |

Has the bios and windows ever detected the correct CPU speed? I don't think the speed would say 2.5Ghz for a Athlon cpu, they usually have a lower mhz rating and use the 2500+ rating as a comparison with Intel's chips. So what has your bios said the speed was previously? |

i think it was 1.9 somthing ghz i think it usually says 2500+ 1.9...Ghz |
