| 162575 | 2003-07-24 09:53:00 | I have Windows Xp, and that has windows messenger. Somone tried to do something with me, like start a game or something, over msn messenger. I couldnt do it, and it told me to update to the latests version. I clicked on the link, and it came up at an MSN Messenger download page. What happens if I install MSN messenger, will I then have 2? Both Windows, and MSN, or will one replace the other? Also, how come Windows messenger isnt poppong up with a note all the time, telling me to upgrade, to the newere version if msn messenger is the same as windows messenger? Totally Confused. |

| 162576 | 2003-07-24 09:56:00 | The Windows Messenger will still stay there, cos i downloaded the new MSN Messenger thinking that it would overwrite the Windows Messenger and uninstall it but it doesnt. So i still havent gotten rid of it so i effectively have 2 Messenger programs for the same email running. cheers, v.K |

| 162577 | 2003-07-24 10:03:00 | yeah its annoying if you download MSN messenger, they windows messenger keeps poping up all the time, i had this problem and have just stopped it after about 2 months of it poping up at weird times, but there is not a lot of differance between the two, if you dont really use messenger, stay with 4.6, if your hard-out wif the whole messenger chat thing, go to MSN5 or MSN6!!:) St. † |

| 162578 | 2003-07-24 10:39:00 | AARRRGGGH. well I just installed Direct X 9.0b, and i had a system crash, and wen it restarted, it went through that disk checking thing, and and just went throug screeeens of stuff that it did something to, and xp loaded up, little error box popped up and said, system failure. How nice. I submitted the 'bug'. mmm. arrrrggh. Now windows messenger doesnt work, but I think everything else is going ok. Should I install Direct X 9 again, under safe mode or something? AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH HH. |
