| 162540 | 2003-07-24 07:45:00 | Have you ever had that feling of picking up your computer and smashing it on the ground!? well i jsut got it, ok, ive got SOF2 installed and it runs perfectly, but i just installed SOF1 and it just wont run, all it does is goes onto the menu and then freezes!? ive got XP Home, if thats any help at all..... is it just me or is it time for a new computer:p St. † |

Yup, all the time - in fact, about 20min ago, I had to resit the urge to do so after none of my emails that I had (well thought i had) sent over the past 4 days had actually been sent! Anyway, how old is SOF1? Is it recent (like 1-3 yrs) or is it quite old?? |

| 162544 | 2003-07-24 09:58:00 | If ur computer's a pentium 4 then it wont need replacing. Wot graphics card do u have and sufficeint ram? Did u do any major system changes? I also have SOF 2 but isnt SOF1 like ancient, my friend had that and said it's been on the market for a very long time. cheers, v.K |

| 162546 | 2003-07-24 10:56:00 | yes often lately ST and i have no idea how to help sorry. but also i dont think insurance will payfor it either, for a new computer, if you had actually picked it up and chuck it across the room either.... (as if you would tell them that LOL) but i dont think any one would actually own up to that in insurance purposes would they? i have not had the urge quite that bad for a while but a hammer has a longer satisfaction level at damage control id say. :p beetle |

| 162547 | 2003-07-24 12:30:00 | Ok first point. Have you upgraded your SOF1 to gold patch?? If not do that. Second point, if its not running in Xp, you could right click on the main exe files and try compatibility for Win98 etc. 3rd point, Upgrade to the very latest video drivers from Nvidia! 4th point, if it still aint running you could get DirectX 9a. 5th point maybe uninstall SP1. And yer sof1 and 2 are great games. I don't like sof1 multiplay as much as sof2 however. |

| 162548 | 2003-07-25 11:19:00 | Have u tried un-installin then re-installing the game again? That might work as probably some of the game's files had probably been corrupted due to abnormal shutdowns or things like that? cheers, v.K |
