| 163058 | 2003-07-26 12:04:00 | Hi all, Could someone please help me? I'm having a problem with my Sony external floppy drive ( just bought from someone ) , model: PCGA-UFD5 (silver colour, USB ). My laptop is the picturebook PCG-C1MT and PCG-GRV7P When I plug this floppy drive into my laptop ( Win XP) , Win XP does recognise the drive, so in the system tray appears the arrow thingy. then I opened Windows Explorer but I can't access any files on the floppy disk ( it says " I/O errors occured" ). Has anyone experienced this before? someone said it's a common problem, need to do something with the BIOS, he isn't sure ? with Many Thanks in advance!!! |
