162996 2003-07-26 07:34:00 Hi!

I think everyone agrees that the best way to prevent macro virus infections in not to open any macros! However, how can I set MS Word and Excel 97 so that they automatically ignore (not to execute) any macros in the files they open?

Thanks!

162997 2003-07-26 09:27:00 You can achieve this by changing your security settings
Tools>Macro>Security>High

162999 2003-07-27 00:10:00 In Word and Excel 97 go to Tools | Options | General and place tick next to "Macro virus protection". tommy (2826)
