| 162936 | 2003-07-26 12:58:00 | Sinndisco, Pinging 127.0.0.1 does not test the the NIC (Hardware), it tests the software side of things is set up correctly. The ping 127.0.0.1 tells the computer not to test its connections to another computer, but to test its own basic network setup. IanJ |
