163354 2003-07-27 23:02:00 Hi everyone, sorry about posting this here....I know is probably not the write place but please bear with me as I am desperate!!

I am currently studying in Auckland University in the second year of my Computer System engineering degree. Before they let me graduate, I have to complete 400 hrs of general engineering work, now that is work associated with skilled tradesmen. So things like working as a helper to people who install electrical/computer systems, manufacture and fabricate electronic / computer components etc....in short..I have to work with someone who knows what they are doing, and try and pick up some of the skills of them.

Since there's also another 400 hrs where I have to work as an sub-professional engineer, I HAVE TO get this 400 hrs out in the coming summer holiday.

So if you know any resouces or know anyone who might be looking for someone like me to assist them in the summer holiday FULL-Time, please please please let me know, I ll ring them and send them my CV and all da rest!
thx!!!

163355 2003-07-28 09:23:00 Are you expecting to be paid, or not? If you're volunteering then you may find it easier to get some work - hard slog for 10 weeks or so without getting paid for it, but it may be easier to find it. Even if you offer to volunteer half the time (if you can't afford to do it for nothing for the whole 400 hours).

Just a suggestion :)
