| 163465 | 2003-07-28 09:48:00 | Hi all, From time to time on this forum there are threads created about the Pro's & Con's of removing The Index.dat file! We even have reference to it in the "FAQ's"as FAQ9b! The sure-fire way to delete this file is by using DOS, but there are apps on the Net that also get rid of it!"Spider"being one of them (see FAQ9b) Today I was warned of another app that not only gets rid of Index.dat but also a great chunk of your HDD? Under no circumstance use the programme, "Index.dat Suite"that is on the site,www.it-mate.co.uk/support/suite/ as this is,[u] MALICIOUS[/b] The sites full name is U R It-Mate, and be warned,if you use this app, U will be right, IN-IT!
