1343782 2013-05-28 06:02:00 When I click on download, this is what I get: a dialog saying,_

"You have chosen to open"

"IE10-Windows6.1-x64-en-us,.exe" ------------- (an OS for portable devices I think?)

"which is: MP3 format sound (42.3 MB)"
"from: http://download.microsoft.com" --------- (this line is correct)

"What should Nightly do with this file?"
(then)

"Open with" - is pre-selected & "Windows Media Player (default)"
is the chosen program to open with!

What the H is going on?

www.microsoft.com

windows.microsoft.com

Pretty much the same at both these download sites.

This post is not displaying quite the way I wrote it.

1343783 2013-05-28 06:07:00 Must be something still wrong with your computer as I get whether I want to run or save IE10.

1343784 2013-05-28 06:55:00 If you are using IE -- go to tools, internet options,Click the security tab, In the Security Level make sure Internet is selected For This Zone click on Custom Level

Under Downloads put a mark next to Automatic Prompting for File Downloads.

Failing that click on the reset to set it back to its defaults

If using Firefox -- Tools > Options > General : Downloads : "Always ask me where to save every file"

1343786 2013-05-28 07:47:00 I am sorry, I was pressed for time and getting tired.

I forgot to say that I had uninstalled IE because it was failing, closing and restarting, every few seconds.
It wouldn't repair, eventually I couldn't close it and it wouldn't allow the computer to restart.
I had to use the power button to turn it off

I have had my tea and a cup of coffee. Thinking again; I will try downloading with Chrome.
