Good news is that they're staying operational to finish their games. Bad news is that once the games are out THQ is probably going to have to sell of almost all their IP and multiple studios to even stay afloat. EA and Ubisoft have both shown interest in the purchase of THQ IPs.

1319262 2012-12-20 04:57:00 Hmm, haven't had much from THQ recently. The few games I did try weren't too baf, Metro 2033 was good.

I have a hate for Ubisoft. EA might do them justice but only if it's not too mainstream.

1319263 2012-12-20 07:15:00 Most of the good studios fold, or get bought up by conglomerates that destroy their creativity. Looking Glass, Cavedog, Verant, Westwood, Mythos... the list goes on. Valve and Blizzard are about the only companies who started small, with critically and commercially successful titles, and are still around in their own right. inphinity (7274)

Cyan Words are still around, but they don't do much, Pretty much they stay afloat off the Myst series.
