1319164 2012-12-19 16:58:00 Has anybody noticed the mistake in the multipurpose ladder advertisement on television. The ladder that could be put in dozens of different positions. There is one part in the add where a lady puts the far side of the ladder on steps and climbs ladder almost vertically, which I have always been told by the safety inclined people should have a slope no greater then 1 in 3, but in the advertisement it looks more like closer to 1 in 50.

I wonder why nobody (like ACC) has not made a issue of this, maybe only idiots watch TV these days, which sure explains a lot (when you look in the TV guide) and lets be honest would I waste my time making a dick of myself here if there was something worth watching on TV?

Maybe nobody gives a hoot about safety, after people cough and sneeze all over you today and think it is a joke, why give a toss about anything else?

I think it is aimed at idiots, after all, they state that if you need a longer scaffold, then use a longer plank . And if you need to make it lower, put the plank on lower rungs . I would never have thought of such solutions!

I also thought the angle was far too close to vertical to be safe .

1319166 2012-12-19 19:23:00 Watch it more closely next time. The lady is showing the wrong way to do it with an ordinary A frame ladder. CliveM (6007)

No it was the clones.
I thought the scaffold part was dumb - what if you need it higher?? Having a scaffold a few inches of the ground is fairly lame.

The rungs govern that, so no prob having it higher.
