| 1318562 | 2012-12-16 00:23:00 | An Australian radio station got into an awkward situation. It stopped advertising as a mark of respect. It was already losing business from numerous concerned advertisers and prospects for 2013 looked grim. The station decided to donate all advertising revenue for the rest of 2012 to a worthy cause. Presumably the sponsors who left in droves are hurrying back and the station won't face the New Year with a massive slump in business. A sound business decision? |

I can't see them flocking back until further investigation are done regarding radio 2Day FM management decisions. I read they cancelled their staff Christmas party and all recoverable money got donated to their equivalent of Life Line. |

I know of a certain business who did a rather hasty ad once, it came across as spiteful and childish. These days stuff spreads through the net in 5 minutes, so if you are seen to do nothing, it's worse. |

Obviously dodgy ads, & people lost alot of money (dodgy investment ads etc) One featured ad for bogus heart pills 'implying' those with heart conditions would no longer need to take their heart medication...just how did that ad stay on air for so long? |
