1318280 2012-12-16 00:13:00 How do you appear to have a chain?

You do, or you don't.

I appear to have a sister.Easy. I don't have any mechanical knowledge so by googling etc, as far as I can tell it doesn't have a cambelt.

Edit: just looked the car up on http://parts.honda.co.nz and it does not have a cambelt. Now I am 100% certain. :p

Would you like me to put a word in Richard.

I am afraid she only appears to be there as I used Jens System, that is googled her.

I just imagined Jen gazing into the motor, and knowing how she likes to control things, she decided ,by gum, it appears to be chain drive, like it or not.

1318283 2012-12-16 04:41:00 M'mm, I wonder if the auto is a CVT,most dealers avoid mentioning this

Did have a look at the Honda's spec's and did not see any had a CVT

Did drive one that had a CVT couple of weeks ago, very interesting as was surprised at the engine braking coming to a intersection

They have a very strict maintenance schedule

1318284 2012-12-16 05:15:00 Timing chains tend to rattle a little on cold starts, depending on engine milage, oil pressure, and tensioner/guide condition. There may be a belt done km sticker for a timing belt on it's cover, if the milage is higher than 100000 k. But being 2008 it may be a little below that, hence no sticker, or about due... kahawai chaser (3545)
1318285 2012-12-16 05:51:00 Ive always perferred honda, better designed and nicer to drive in my opinion. However between the two cars you have suggested the ford is probably better. Slankydudl (16687)
1318286 2012-12-16 06:00:00 C'mon guys, take it easy with the negative comments.

Jen has made her decision and has made a sizeable outlay to purchase her car. The last thing she needs is any of us lot suggesting lemon-like qualities about the new wheels. We all wish her well, I'm sure.
