They have to resort to knives and such. What this means NZ and the US have an acceptable road accident death rate. No death is good but we still keep driving so we accept it. It same as guns no death is good but we have to accept the death rate from guns which is balanced by our right to own and use them. In this case I would call auto deaths and gun deaths apples and apples. |

On the news it said he'd used his mothers semi-auto assault rifle. Why does a middle-aged teacher need a semi-auto assault rifle? Even if you allow hunting guns, and handguns, army weapons are over the top. |

| 1318465 | 2012-12-17 05:23:00 | What I keep saying yet Prefect thinks they do need them for some obscure reason I am saying squire that no semi auto gun now days can be classified as an assault rifle its just a repeater. If I was a soldier and I want to assault a position I sure as **** would want a fully auto gun even if it set to burst fire. Assault rifle is too an emotive term for any semi auto. Its just used by anti gun ****s to blur the issue. I love guns I love using them, they by themselves wont kill anyone they are inert objects. Its a tragedy but life is full of tragedy people die from old age, base jumping,car accidents, disease and a some from guns we just have to live with it. |
