| 1343018 | 2013-05-24 20:42:00 | Yeah I use iron as my spare browser. It's pretty good though personally I prefer FF. As someone else said it's just like chrome and you can install extensions for chrome on it too. I've never had to do what zqwerty mentioned when updating versions though. I just run the installer for the new version (without uninstalling the previous) and all of my settings are carried over. I've never lost my settings doing this. EDIT - I don't use the portable version though, so that might be why. Missed that when I read the post. |

| 1343019 | 2013-05-25 05:50:00 | I've been having a look at Comodo Dragon, quite impressed. Its the same as Iron in that it uses the Chome engine but has been tweaked up in the security department. Its pretty quick, and the pages look good. I haven't got into all the settings yet, I'll be playing with them later. | PPp (9511) | ||

| 1343021 | 2013-05-25 14:33:00 | Try opening Gmail with it, best I've seen for that job which is what I mainly use it for, I too prefer Firefox for normal browsing, I have 55 add-ons I have used for years now. | 1343022 | 2013-05-25 22:12:00 | At the mo, I'm trying out Cyberfox, built on foxfire. But it's 64 bit. Similar to Palemoon which is also 64 bit. But its meant to be faster. Its not too bad so far. Only thing that doesn't work with it, since its 64 bit, is the FF Windows media plugin. Since it's 32 bit only. But, I can live with that. I've found out (so far) that it doesn't say it's running (like when you quit 32 bit FF), and try to run it again, you have to go into task manager to kill its process. This is one annoying thing I found with FF. |

| 1343023 | 2013-05-26 00:57:00 | Thanks to you all for the responses to my query re. Iron browser. I think it might be interesting to try and perhaps also Comodo Dragon. I'll say now that the reason I initally hesitated was in reading the Iron homepage - some fairly jittery English language there and that made me a bit nervous. Thanks again | advena (13666) | ||
