163840 2003-07-30 05:46:00 I have Mandrake 9.1 installed on a separate hard drive on my Win XP
comp. After many installs I managed to get the sound working but I am not getting to grips with the command line in Linux and at the moment my patience is getting tested. Who said Mandrake was user friendly?
I need to get my dual monitor set up working before I spit the dummy,
My display card is a Nvidia Geforce2 MX/MX 400 which works perfectly on Windows XP but has not been even recognised by Mandrake. The Linux default drivers for the card are Nvidia DDR but I suspect something else is needed or a command to start the process. Anyone have any ideas.

163841 2003-07-30 07:25:00 Have a look here www.tldp.org
although if you don't want to get your hands dirty (read, get stuck in on the command line), I wouldn't bother.

163842 2003-07-30 12:40:00 Try /usr/share/doc/nvida****

If you've updated your nvidia drivers (Highly recommended), then there's a readme file in there :-)

163843 2003-07-30 21:28:00 Thanks for the tip. I have seen this page before when I first installed Mandrake and I put it in the too hard basket. However now that I have a little more experience I'll try it again. i-gordon (962)
