163771 2003-07-29 23:08:00 Problem:

I have just installed Windows XP on my Pentium III 667Hz computer, 256mb ram .
I have a ViewSonic E70-3 monitor .

I want to set my computer so that I can use color management so that what I see on the screen is what I get from my printer .

This feature is unavailable to me . I have checked in "devmgmt . msc", this shows that there is a problem with the device (monitor) .

So far I have tried to install the ViewSonic's drivers from the CD that came with the monitor . But I receive a message saying "Cannot Install this Hardware"

I have also downloaded the latest drivers from ViewSonic . I have run the executable but XP does not find the driver .

XP tells me that "No driver files are required or have be loaded for this device" .

Are you able to offer any suggestions?

163772 2003-07-30 01:57:00 It's your video card drivers/software that will enable colour management features, set refresh rates and resolution etc.
Monitor drivers only tell windows what resolutions and refresh rates the monitor are able to handle.
So you need to look at what drivers and software are available for your card.
