| 163595 | 2003-07-29 03:01:00 | Remember me? I'm the person with the incompatibility problem between a Philips monitor and a Canoscan scanner (both used the same colour profiles causing the scanner refusing to scan in colour). I sold the computer to my brother (he probably now hates me) who has an Acer ScanPrisa 340P colour flatbed scanner. The ScanPrisa scanner plugs into a serial printer port, in this case LPT2. Because he uses a program written locally for Windows 2000, he re-formatted the HD and installed 2000. There are two issues: 1. He has a colour printer plugged into LPT1and a b/w laser plugged into a USB port. Both printers work properly individually, but he wants to print with both printers at the same time. When he does this, the printer already printing stops and the other one doesn't start. Is what he wants to do possible? If so what does he have to do? 2. He cannot get the scanner to work. He has deleted all the software and, as instructed by the manufacturer, downloaded and installed MiraScan driver v3.242 from the benq website. Any help on this one, please? Dave. |
