| 163535 | 2003-07-29 00:20:00 | ok i did the uninstall reinstall thing with the new upgrade of adaware, and now when i open spybot / adaware they come up with the compatability thing. i thought this was the reason why you had both installed as one covers what the other doesnt find? but it also says about quaranteening and such that the other may find it and cause problmes ( memory here / may be a little off on wording) why is this when the old system didnt? they work fine and have not found anything undue recently is it just one of those things? not that it worries me but as had not have this happen before wondered if this was the normal thing with the new programs (both are the newest versions i could find) no majors, just confused..... again :D thanxs beetle |

| 163539 | 2003-07-29 01:21:00 | yes thanxs chill, was hopingthat would be the case, but as it has not actually found anything was not sure of the correct protocol for this info... and that comes back to knowing what to fix or leave alone doesnt it? and for us newbies we should have a big sign or hammer that pops out of the puter, and it bops you on your head... saying not that one stupid when we tick the wrong box? dont ya think? i feel their is just too much to learn on these things and the idea of where to actually start and why is so infinite like... its scary. and we can do so much damage, wheather youre in the know or not does not always help. but PF1 save the day again for most of us. (hopefully) thanxs beetle |

For the most of it, its little things like cookies, but things like KaZaA need the spyware to run, otherwise it locks up. Luckily, there's KaZaA Lite. But its safe to begin the scan and all, but you dont actually have to "cleanse" the items, but rather you can hold your mouse over the item you're un-sure about, and it should popup with some useful info for you :-) |
