| 164068 | 2003-07-31 00:15:00 | I am using Office 97 and find it strange that while I can number pages in word documents per the DD Insert Menu, I can find no such facility to number the pages in an Excel document. the Help Menu won't give any assistance using key words "page" or "Numbering". Perhaps an F1 expert has the answer. | willbry (1555) | ||
| 164069 | 2003-07-31 00:23:00 | Hi Willbry, Go to Page setup (File > Page Setup) and click the Header/Footer tab. Click Custom Header or Customer Footer (depending on whether you want your page number at the top or the bottom) and you can add your page numbers in there (The button with a picture of a page with a # is the page number button). The three text boxes below are for left/centre/right justified text. HTH Mike. |

It's probably not incorporated into the Help file so that people like me have something to do in the evenings and on weekends LOL ;) Mike. |
