| 164029 | 2003-07-30 13:06:00 | I have recently bought a new computer running XP with a 120g hard drive... I got the technician from the shop where I bought it from to partition the hard drive for me into 3 sections.... I was just wondering if there was an easy painless way to change the drive letter of the hard drives and cd roms. Ie... I would like to change one of the hard drive letters which is currently F: to the letter D: which is currently the cd-rom.... Will changing the drive letters cause any conflicts if so are there any ways to avoid problems.... I would appreciate any helpful advice.... Mantis. |

| 164030 | 2003-07-30 13:18:00 | Hi there, The answer is hidden away in the FAQ's. Have a read here (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) I don't think you'll be needing partition magic for your setup, so just use the inbuilt windows method. Let us know how you get on. :) |

Then move on down to Disk management the right click on the drive or partition you want to change and click the change drive letter and paths. | Odin (227) | ||
