2003-08-01 05:28:00 | Sorry - I should have been more obvious which post I was responding to. It was of course Gorela's post: >Snip >>We thank you for your civic-minded behaviour in not >>blocking cookies on this site >Snip >If I had a suspicious mind I would really think that bordered on >sarcasm :O >Or to put it the same way sarcasm ;) >I think I should point you to this thread (pressf1.pcworld.co.nz) :D By the way .. I think I might change my username to Marke :0 What do you think? Chuckle ... Mark

2003-08-01 05:42:00 | Just on the front of advertising I find those "skyscrapers" (I think) rather annoying down the side of the page. A move away from those and just have the ads at the top/bottom would be a good idea. Especially the way the page loads then the advert comes in jolting the rest of the page smaller.

From what Mark has said, it seems that the forum will not adversley be affected by the sponsorship scheme (in fact there will be positive effects), and from what contributors have said, sopnsors will not be targeted unfairly or any more because of the fact they are sponsors. heck, if they donate a few good prizes, and allow the forum to stay in the black financially, then they may even get some praise! If sponsors help pay for the site, so it keeps > it free for most of us, why not. Would I bag a > sponsors product? If it was something I thought > wasn't worth buying, of course I would Good luck with any sponsorship deals, Cheers,Kiwitas,;-) |

2003-08-01 10:11:00 | Ah, someone hasn't missed the point. No weasel words here. Just sticking to the point which, you sagely made, Billy T. - Good on you. The point is, the you wouldn't be able to be here on these pages if you came in on a landline were it not for a possible sponser candidate - Telecom. Try not buying from them and still be on a landline! Sorry, but that's how it is. Go Walker Wireless!!

2003-08-03 08:16:00 | Press F1 is such a valuable forum for non-techies like me that if it takes some sponsorship to keep it going, so be it. I have read all the posts to date in this thread, and they all speak for me as well.
