| 164209 | 2003-07-31 12:22:00 | Howdy Marke, Personally I don't use the notification system as I seldom ask questions on this forum and I generally peruse this site numerous times during the day. Primarily to see what Chilling's latest brainteaser is :D rather than Billy's WFTWE :O I had thought that this site was run with sponsorship through your existing advertisers. With this in mind, I had made it one of the few sites that I don't have cookies blocked. Perhaps you could clarify for me the difference between advertisers and sponsors? A Dent |

I hope the sponsors have read some of the more 'severe' postings on Press f1 and know what could happen from time to time. As most points seem to have been covered so far, I say go for it. |

| 164212 | 2003-07-31 12:27:00 | Advertising is merely advertising. Sponsorship is when it becomes the InsertCompanyName PressF1 Help Forum or.... PressF1 proudly brought you by [company] I think. |

| 164213 | 2003-07-31 12:29:00 | Or as another thought... sponsorship would make it into the PressF1 logo.... and possibly h00ge links on the companies website to here... with them possibly even recommending they come here before peskering their helpdesk. | -=JM=- (16) | ||

We thank you for your civic-minded behaviour in not blocking cookies on this site - and in answer to your question, really there'd not be much of a difference at all - you'd just noticed that all the ads were from a limited number of sponsors (4) rather than from whoever decided to advertise. Regards Mark |

No, the sponsorship wouldn't be part of the PressF1 logo or PC World logo for that matter. I suspect a lot of people do come here before they bother vendor websites ... they get quicker responses here in the main!! :D But that wasn't part of the plan either btw. It's really just as I outlined it in the original post - I just want potential sponsors to get and idea of how the PressF1 community feel about them advertising on the site. Thanks for your feedback everyone ... Mark |
