164285 2003-08-07 14:11:00 Hi beetle,

If you are viewing it on the cd you are most probably seeing it in the Windows Explorer window. If the image is on the cd you will need to copy it to the hard drive. To do this you can right mouse click and then select the copy option or drag and drop it :)

Once you have saved it to your hard drive (in My Documents or where ever) you will need to alter it's properties. Once again right mouse click on the image (the one on your hard drive ;) ) and this time select Properties and then you will have a choice.

From memory there is about four tick boxes with things like Archive, Read Only etc. You need to alter it to write mode or something similar. If this doesn't help perhaps some one with a Windows PC can help further.

The memory isn't what it used to be :D

164288 2003-08-11 04:49:00 There are lots of ways to shrink it beetle, but possibly the easiest for you right now is to open it in Windows Paint then go to Image>Stretch/Skew and enter the percentage reduction you want .

Save with a different name (or a number) on the end and repeat the process as necessary to get the size just right . Leave your original alone though in case you botch it up and have to start again .

If you were working in Word you could just copy it then do an Edit>Paste Special and Save As >Picture . Then you can simply drag it around to where you want it and resize it on the page by grabbing one corner and sizing it with your mouse .

Cheers
