| 163996 | 2003-07-30 11:54:00 | my mum/brother live 5-6 hours away from me.. and i have their modem driver...(i took it when i shifted) anyway... they wnana hook up to the internet, and the modem says its not properly installed...so yes they require driver... am going to send it down 2morrow hopefully... BUT...since they dont know much about computers...they just know how to use programs like games, OE, stuff like that but not the installing hardware side of it... SO can someone type me, or give me a website with very clear instructions on how to install it...for a windows98se computer... btw: cd doesnt autorun...as the orginal modem driver cd went missing and had to get a copy off a computer technican...so they would prolly have to browse for file and select etc... many thanks in adv |

| 163998 | 2003-07-31 22:09:00 | Quite straightforward... Right click My Computer, select properties, Device Manager. Scroll down the list of devices to the Modem. Highlight it, click Remove, ok etc. Reboot PC, Plug & Play should detect it - follow on-screen instructions and get the wizard to search for the driver on the CD. Or you could browse the documents here: www.dynalink.co.nz |
