| 164566 | 2003-08-01 23:32:00 | I am setting up a new PC and i have got to the stage of loading WIN98SE for the first time. All went well until I re-booted the system and I got the following message "While initialising device NDIS: Windows protection error. You need to restart your computer " I have re booted - gone to the safe mode and restarted and get the same message. Any idea's on what I need to do to correct |

Look up Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 312108 - Windows Protection Error in NDIS with a CPU That Is Faster Than 2.1 GHz. Search here (support.microsoft.com). I can't seem to be able to give you the direct link to the Article as it seems to be jumping back to the main support page instead?? |

| 164568 | 2003-08-02 00:01:00 | Ok, here is the direct link now (support.microsoft.com). Copying and Pasting the links I was getting included an extra bit to the URL support.microsoft.com - as you can see the last section isn't recognised which throws the link back to the main support page. However, if you know the Article number already you can just enter this into the address bar http://support.microsoft.com?kbid=ArticleNumber. Sorry about the little digression here, just was trying to figure out why my link wasn't behaving .. :) |
