| 164421 | 2003-08-01 08:25:00 | Hi It does not appear that you can post a page or link with Mozilla Firebird ? Presumably that is because it is a cut down version of Mozilla itself and not designed with that purpose in mind ? Presumably you could have an add-on such as Eudora etc. Could not see anything in my tour of the plug-ins or Help. Maybe that is because it is all strange territory ! Maybe I should persevere ? If so just tell me - do not waste too much time on me. Just do not want to spend oodles of time if the answer is not there in the first place. Misty ;\ |

At this stage I do not want to use a different email service, just continue using Outlook Express. I stilll have to get used to the nuances of a few programs that I have downloaded, and do not want to get too complex otherwise I won't master any of them. Takes me time. Can I stick with OE and send a link or page through that or would I have to get on board with Thunderbird ? Eventually, if I was to change my email program then I think I would like to use the one that the Grandfather uses, Eudora. To repeat at this stage I just want to continue using OE. |

| 164426 | 2003-08-01 22:13:00 | Hi Murray What I mean is the option which is given by IE by means of the "mail" icon which shows to the right of "Favourites" and "Media". The drop down menu includes "Send a link", "send page". What Jim suggests will work to substitute for "send a link", however there is still the "Send page", which I tend to use slightly more often. Looking at your suggestion I think it may be that you are referring to the links within Mozilla Firebird itself, rather than sending the page of a site that I think may interest someone I know. Is that correct please ? If so do you know of any way I can send a page using OE and Mozilla Firebird ? ?:| |

I had a look myself but could not find anything. If there is none there may be some other method to do it but the quickest way that I can suggest is that you fire up Internet Explorer for those times when you need to send a page by mail. It wouldn't be everyday, would it? Sending a link is just a matter of copying and pasting, like Jim says. <plug> I know it is a hassle having to use two browsers sometimes but you get used to it. Firebird has so many other advantages over IE that not being able to use it exclusively isn't really a problem for me. It is the same with graphics and similar programs - I find myself using several because no one program does all that I want it to do. :-) </plug> |

Sorry to be a bit off target earlier, there seems to be a few possibilities on the extensions page but I didn't look into them, just read the short descriptions . Have fun ;) Murray P |
