164460 2003-08-03 21:37:00 Apparently a MS Terminal Services setup works quite well and fast over a dial-up connection. I don't know, as I haven't actually tried before.

Another option might be to invest in one of those USB Flash Memory Drives (can get for $59 for 64mb), and transfer the work data to home to work on, then transfer back to work at a later date.

164461 2003-08-03 22:48:00 We are using Terminal Service very effectively, but the problem is the cost of licenses...but in the end, this was the best option for us. falvrez (390)
164462 2003-08-04 06:34:00 Is it the software that causes problems or is it the dial-up.Would PC Anywhere, or such ,make any difference. The opinion seems to be dial up may be OK.Is that correct?I know DSL would be better, but they only have dial up at her work, and are unlikely to go dsl just for this.

Thanks

Peter
