| 165004 | 2003-08-03 04:46:00 | do you need to sign up for anything when you use adsl modems or is it just plug in and play | hazza (2704) | ||
| 165005 | 2003-08-03 05:07:00 | Yes, unfortunately, you have to sign up with an ISP who provides adsl and obtain a logon for their adsl service. Cheers Billy 8-{) |

| 165008 | 2003-08-03 05:54:00 | A rough guide of what ADSL will cost ... First, can you actually get ADSL? Check your phone number herer (www.telecom.co.nz) You will be paying Telecom $29.95 per month for Jetstream Starter on top of your monthy phone account (it is a separate service). You will also be paying an ISP approximately $34.95 per month for the connection. One off costs will be a ADSL exchange connection fee of $99 payable to Telecom (if the hard wired option is not required) and the costs of an ADSL modem. You will also need to buy filters at $20 each for each phone socket in the house (apart from the one the ADSL modem plugs into). |
