| 164691 | 2003-08-02 09:36:00 | I use a Dell Latitude laptop with Win XP. At work I connect to the internet via our Win2K server. We have JetStream. When I browse at work the first page loads just fine, but the system seems to hang when I link to the next page - sometimes takes ages to load, other times never loads. Other WinXP computers on the network don't have this problem. My laptop works fine via a dial-up connection at home. Any suggestions most welcome. |

Check the server for hardware capabilities - it may be too small to do the task Check the server for load - it may be over accessed Check the network - workgroups load slower than domains Men are four: He who knows not and knows not he knows not, he is a fool--shun him; He who knows not and knows he knows not, he is simple--teach him; He who knows and knows not he knows, he is asleep--wake him; He who knows and knows he knows, he is wise--follow him! - Lady Burton (wife of Sir Richard Francis Burton), given as an Arabian proverb |
