The Administrator account should be used only for maintaining the system, even by you. But, the basic problem is people. not software. Work by the Golden Rule. "He who has the gold (the compuyer, in this case) makes the rules". If they won't play by the rules, you have every right to take the ball away. With the Infernal Affairs inspectors infesting the chat rooms, some stupid remarks could get you in trouble. |

You can if you like set up specific sites that they are only allowed to visit, but the other option is probably better as you can block specific categories only. Anyway how it works is, you set up a Supervisor password and just have another one called "not logged in". Then you set up the "not logged in account" to the startup account, meaning it starts everytime windows does. You can configure all the settings via the Supervisor account. :) You then make a new user account for windows and give it only Guest access. 'User' access is suprisingly more restrictive and won't let your mates play games and other apps. Guest is ure best bet. Also if they use kazaa etc, password that too. And get some application that stops people deleting the files, and reinstalling it. |
