165185 2003-08-04 06:20:00 I've just been given a cast-off - the discs for MS Flight Sim 2000. I'm about to buy a new 2.4 GHz desk-top PC: what's the minimum video board I need to run the Flight SIM? Mike S (1766)

Should answer your question :-)

165187 2003-08-04 07:20:00 I run 2002 version on a G-Force Mx400 and it runs good (athlon xp1800)

on a new system it should run on whatever card you are given in the package.

165188 2003-08-04 07:23:00 my god,those minumem specs are bizarre...

A multimedia PC with a Pentium 166 MHz or faster processor
32 megabytes (MB) of RAM
A Super-VGA video adapter and monitor capable of displaying 16-bit color (Microsoft Direct3D 7.0-compatible 3D graphics accelerator card or video adapter with 4 MB or more of video memory recommended).

I would hook a 2.4 pentuim up with a g4ti4200 at the very least,at absolute minmum,a g4mx will do ya.

As for the game in question, ive seen her in action on a duron 1gig,196mb ram,tnt2 combo and it choked....

maybe it was 2001,if there is a 2001,meh,......back to the colouring in book.

165189 2003-08-04 07:25:00 even if that "package" is an onboard shared ram video adaptor?

somehow i don't think so......
