165086 2003-08-03 12:59:00 Hi
I just ran clean center to remove unnecessary files (as one does) and it removed plenty including a bunch of .tmp files. I went to run MMIX (might and magic IX) to continue my game but it came up with and error saying ~df394b.tmp missing and would not load. Uninstalling and reinstalling had no effect and installing the patches didn't help. Does anyone know what this file is/does and why would a temp file be so important?

thanks

165087 2003-08-03 13:04:00 i sugest you uninstal the program again, then look in the program files and see if its left any folders/files behind,if so delete em,then remove any reduntent entries it may have left behind in the reg. Then re-install the game

whoa....now that was one hella big quake that just rolled thru wanganui....seems to be the season for them.

165088 2003-08-03 13:12:00 I thought of that. Completely uninstalled via the add/ remove programs, deleted remaining folder then checked the registry. Couldn't find any reference to the game in the registry in any of the software folders, any other places to look in the registry? ravage13 (4361)
165089 2003-08-03 13:30:00 doulble checked everything including the error message, seems to have something to do with an executable file lithtech.exe, do you know what this is for and where I might get an uncorrupted copy of it?
thanks

165090 2003-08-03 22:25:00 That file is in my temp folder.I couldn't delete it at first. But i used norton to delete it.It worked.Never experienced your problem before.I don't think that file is related to any program.
Try booting the computer couple of time see what happens

165091 2003-08-03 22:38:00 These files are created by the SafeDisc2 copy protection mechanism incorporated into game CDs. godfather (25)
