165534 2003-08-05 05:25:00 I saw & downloaded this Programme which claims to Fix Errors on ones computer. The initial scan showed about 500 errors over 5 categories. Have not pushed the "Fix" button yet. Anybody got this programme running? Any recommendations, for or against?/ PJ Poppa John (284)
165535 2003-08-05 05:33:00 What is broken on your PC that would need fixing PJ? I assume its stopped working, or are you going to just keep on fixing it until its broken? :)

Did a quick Google on it with suggestions seen to leave it alone. Suggest you Google it yourself first, make your own mind up.

165536 2003-08-05 05:34:00 Any programme like this is always complicated . Any programme contains errors . The bigger and more complicated it is the more errors it contains . It is alleged to be smart enough to fix errors in any version of Windows (presumably) . Computer programmes are not smart . They are stupid . They perform actions which the programmers have told them to do . Sometimes they perform actions which the programmers intended .

The various versions of Windows are a huge heap of code . Some of it contains errors . :D Shock Horror . Most of them mostly work, most of the time . If they are left alone .

Does your computer work at the moment? If it does, LEAVE IT ALONE .

"Fixing" breaks working systems .

If you've got problems with your Windows, you're better attacking one thing at a time .

Does this programme give you a list of what it says is wrong? I suspect many or most of the 500 alleged errors will be nonsense .

My opinion . Others might differ . :D
