| 165465 | 2003-08-04 23:09:00 | We have installed M$ (SUS (www.microsoft.com)) and have found it to be the best product for distributing security fixes and patches. In association with AD it is really easy to manage. Better yet it is free. The limitation is it requires Windows 2Ksp3/XP and will not work for Win9x/NT, which incidently is no longer supported by M$. I may complain about M$, but this is the best feature of Windows . You only need to download the updates once, saving internet bandwidth and the updates and be tested, approved and distributed automatically. Initially, we had some individual problems, but they went away. I am interested to hear about other users of SUS and how they have found it. |
