165366 2003-08-05 23:12:00 The 5200 iirc performs under-par, where-as the 5600 is a worthwhile buy, catching up with all the latest ATI cards in particular! Chilling_Silently (228)
165367 2003-08-06 00:21:00 If you compare an Asus card with an Eagle card I'm sure you will see a remarkable difference in quality. So get an Asus or leadtek. Theres probably a few more that are quite good as well, but I haven't tried? PoWa (203)
165368 2003-08-06 07:32:00 Well it does depend on your other computers hardware's speed.

Since i don't know, and assume they are average or above average, i recommend the following.

1. Geforce 4 Ti 4200 128MB DDR 8X ViVO (perferably ASUS or Pixelview.)
2. Geforce 4 MX 440 128MB DDR 8X Asus or Pixelview

If you gonna get a FX 5200 or something, it's still alright but i still perferr Ti 4200 series.

With this Ti 4200 card the results are superb, play most new games on the highest resolution there is it won't lag.

Yeah, if you can and want to, get the Ti

165369 2003-08-06 12:21:00 The MX 440 would be a lot slower than the Ti 4200.
The FX5200(heres; the important bit!)ULTRA seems to be the replacement for the Ti 4200 The FX performance is better, somewhere between a Ti 4200 and a Ti 4600

I have a Leadtek version of the Gforce 4 ti 4200 and it still has support from leadtek for updates of drivers and programs and so on. With other brands the "support" seems to vanish into thin air, and u the end user are left in the dark all by ur self so go with a brand that u are well aware of and see if they offer driver updates and so on.

cheers,
