| 166105 | 2003-08-07 12:13:00 | When I installed my cd-rw, I put it as slave and my cd-rom as master on the secondary ide cable . to do this i shifted my atapi iomega zip drive to the slave position on my primary . after the change i had problems burning cds and playing video files off the hdd . when i checked the primary ide in device manager i found the hdd settings changed from UDMA to PIO, the same as the zip . i checked the iomega site and learned they don't recommend using the primary ide . i've disconnected the zip and set the hdd back to udma and things are working fine . so, what's the best way to use all these devices? cheers g |
