| 166211 | 2003-08-08 07:30:00 | I recently bought an Asus V9520 Magic AGP Graphics card. It has the Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 Engine, 128MB DDR RAM & runs 8XAGP. It was one of those impulse purchases I must admit. :( but........it only cost me $158. Was this a good buy or have I wasted my cash on a donkey. Does anyone have any tips to improve performance? (I havn't had any problems with it thusfar) I plan to upgrade my entire PC in the next 2 weeks ( new CPU RAM & M/B) Current specs are: Asus P4SDR-VM Mainboard Intel Celeron 1.7Ghz 512MB SD 133Mhz RAM running Windows 2K Pro SP4 I have upgraded the bios and the board is now capable of running an INTEL P4 2.6Ghz CPU, should I go for a new board or should I stick with this one. It's a bit short on things like serial ATA and firewire ports but it does everything I want it to do. I do intend to buy a DVD-Writer drive... should I take that into consideration and juts go for a new board with heaps more grunt and features? Thanks in advance |
