| 166748 | 2003-08-11 06:47:00 | Look I have this bloody annoying problem with my internet connection, I run WinXP. My computer froze once this afternoon (very surprising, because WinXP don't usually freeze), so I had to restart it. After I restarted the computer this problem comes up, the dial-up connection i have keeps on trying to connect its self, even when I go cancel, it comes up again after a few seconds. This mean i can't really do anything apart from continuasly hitting the cancel button. I also tried resetting my connection, but still doesn't work. Plus I checked all the software I have for this setting, they either don't have them or they are disabled. Any ideas on how to stop this??? Please help quick, because I don't want to reinstall Windows or spending the rest of the evening clicking the cancel button. Thanks. |

Try using MSConfig (start, run, msconfig) and untick a thing or two on the startup list, reboot, and try again until you find out which program is to blame. I've had this problem before and it's a real pain, so I wish you luck in getting it sorted! :D |
