1345269 2013-06-10 09:35:00 Hi

First my specs

Windows 8 Premium 64 Bit
12GB DDR2 Ram
GTX 580 Geforce
Some 650W PSU
Motherboard Asus P8Z77-V Pro
Samsung SSD 150GB - Windows is on SSD , a 2TB is installed for games only

I play games like World Of Warcraft, Natural Selections 2 , Left 4 Dead 2, Resident Evil 6.

I have updated to the lastest driver and this happens in Windows 7 too.

What happens is when I play any PC games at all every few minute or so the game would just pause for a fraction of a sec to get me killed.

I've tried

Restarting the Modem
Purchasing a new modem
Upgraded to Windows 8.
Updated Graphics Driver.
Purchased a 150GB SSD, Move windows into it, Games onto a Seperate HD. This problem occured during the time Windows was on an HD.

I'm thinking of replacing my graphics card to a newer /higher one. Any recommendations on a better card or a cure for this problem?

1345270 2013-06-10 09:58:00 Probably not a fraction of a second but mostly 1 to 2 second pauses Ninjabear (2948)
1345271 2013-06-10 11:05:00 Without a brand name, the PSU is suspicious. Agent_24 (57)

1345274 2013-06-10 22:07:00 What CPU? I have a similar machine (see sig) and dont have that issue. Also what brand is the graphics card and have you checked how hot it gets? (furmark will give you a worst case test)

It is not a great brand of PSU though so it could well be that.
