1320398 2012-12-27 21:10:00 Two things.
One major solution that would save lots of lives throughout the world is for all countries to drive on the same side of the road.
I don't care weather its left or right.
But with so many tourists all around the world it would save quite a few accidents.
It may also make cars a bit cheaper as manufacturers would not have tow make two models of every car.

Secondly NZ roads are very narrow and many single lane highways with no median barriers.
Our country roads are very poor and full of dangerous curses and hill sides on one side.

But this is due to two things - we are a rugged country.
We have a small population to pay for the roads.
This is another reason we need 3 or 4 times our current population here, the extra people would easily pay for fantastic roads.

A lot of those issues mentioned have been done by us once or twice in our lives, it's just on the road when everyone makes a little issue (such as driving too slow in the wrong lane) it adds up. I mist admit though, I do hate those who treat the RH lane as their personal little road. It's a fast lane, for passing slow people or turning off.

1320402 2012-12-27 21:23:00 Narrow roads what tosh, where i learnt to drive you could touch the hedgerows with both mirrors at the same time. I'm sure the other English people on here will agree, I have yet to find any roads in NZ as narrow as that. gary67 (56)
