| 1319992 | 2012-12-24 03:29:00 | Driving north through the Lindis Pass yesterday we followed a small passenger vehicle - guess about a 10 seater - no markings. It would speed up, slow down and continually cross both the white line and the double yellow lines - even on corners. We stopped at Oamarama and as it happened so did they - appeared to be 2 Indian families. Shortly after we spotted a police car and informed the cop of the details - explained that have an in car DVR camera if he wanted evidence. He said he would deal with it and shortly after he rang to say that they had received an instant $150 fine and a very stern warning that they would be monitored for the rest of their visit. A great outcome but it highlights the dangers of very poor drivers out there amongst us all! |

Got overtaken by a logging truck on SH1 once, he had to pull back in before completing due to oncoming traffic and nearly squashed us into the trees at the side. Getting onto the Albany motorway (coming back west) one rainy night, woman stopped on the onramp, at the bit where it narrows into 1 lane, OK, fine, except she decided to open her door and exit just as I came past. Missed her but geez......close. |

If I can I get them back by slightly ramming them with my truck if they stop further on at an intersection or lights. Does not seem to do the 2 1/2' galv pipe roo bar much harm. If they do it to me in my car I will do the same thing in front of them if I can. |

My christmas gift is another one to try out on the car already have 4 :D now have one in the front and one to the rear which is often where the action starts :illogical Four differant makes the latest is smaller and more discreet which one you got? Unfortunately not doing the mileage beyond the daily quite drive locally. Roads seem to be more quite the last few months than past years out here in the sticks and yes it is a designated highway :thumbs: One incident I did get was a classic and the person involved denied everything until presented with the evidence. Ironic the incident was not road related just happened to have caught someone doing something they should not have been.:D |
