Ban all Asians, little old ladies, and little old men wearing hats from driving and the incidents of road rage will simply disappear :)

1320416 2012-12-28 05:25:00 I learnt to drive on gravel roads in the Motueka valley, they are now all sealed. We drove there pissed no seatbelts. Cars have better brakes and road holding. Cars crumple in a crash instead of people.
The speed on the motorways and open road has decreased, if you were doing 100kph on an Auckland motorway in the fast lane a few years ago you would be getting a lot of attention. Now its about 105kph max. The holiday weekend suicide passers seemed to have given up because of *555.
Its getting difficult, to drive pissed compared with years ago the feld polezei seem to be on to it, no more warnings.
The roads, cars and drivers have never been better, there are just more ******* whingers around.

1320417 2012-12-28 07:34:00 I remember those roads, especially in the the South of England, great fun especially while driving a transit van. Stopped head to head with a car, whose turn is it to backup up, come on, really its a transit so its your turn ?

Most problems where I'm from in Kent involved meeting a tractor or worse a combine harvester, not even room for a mouse to squeeze past

1320418 2012-12-28 07:55:00 I find that tractors can be a hazard even on State Highway one down here in Southland. Farmers are in the middle of the haymaking season. Care has to be taken when overtaking them especially if there is oncoming traffic. Bobh (5192)

I would rather call it driver re education. You know you are getting some where when they stop and get out of their vehicle wanting to kill you. Its quite gratifying seeing results of your work. Luckily when I was 16 I was given a pile of Bristol Hercules link rods one of which I have keep in all vehicles I have ever had.

1320421 2012-12-28 18:43:00 Yes, those narrow country lanes in England always amaze me when I see them on tv.

I wonder how many accidents there are on them.
You must have to drive really slow on them in case a car or truck was coming the other way round a corner!
